Ship Wreck Coast's, The Arch, London Bridge and the Grotto Featuring Landscape Images of Magnificent Limestone Rock Formations
The Arch, London Bridge and The Grotto are on Shipwreck Coast, in the Port Campbell National Park and reach via The Great Ocean Road. The coastal geology is sandy limestone with harder top layers than those on the bottom, interspersed with mudstone (marl) so the softer layers allow undermining and creating overhangs arches and stacks – interesting but not great for landscape photography.
The Arch, London Bridge and The Grotto are less impressive than the Twelve Apostles, probably made worse by the overcast sky and low light. They are worth a visit and of the three; the Grotto images has the most interesting.
