Insects found in the Singapore Botanic Gardens, featuring photography of Odonata – dragonflies and damselflies

The Marsh Garden, lily ponds and lakes attract Odonata - dragonflies and damselflies that often perch on the plants and water lilies. I often photograph Odonata at the same time as waterlilies while capturing images of other insects on an opportunistic basis rather than seek them out.

All the images in the gallery are of males, except of course for the mating pair of Blue Ringtail Damselflies –the mature male is blue while the female is greener.
